Mighty Ocean

"You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty." -Mahatma Gandhi

I recently read this above quote from Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. This

description perfectly suits my recent personal experience at hosting the annual inter-

department event. I will not mention the details of what the event consisted of, but would

like to share some positive life lessons that I received as an Event Coordinator from all the

flak coming from different human beings.

Life Lesson Number One

There was a moment in the organizing process where I was told that my team is overambitious. Friends, it is not a crime to be an overachiever. Especially when you are multi-talented and skilled at different components, you have to go for a big goal. Never stop at this moment feeling guilty for not doing what seniors tell you as a piece of advice. In fact, just do it and complete the task. And if you are worried about what others feel or say, always remember, "कुछ तो लोग कहेंगे लोगो का काम है कहना"

Life Lesson Number Two

When I was working on this project, I realized that there are some people out of many, who are very much interested in letting this event happen successfully. Although, initially nobody has that positive feeling, but I had identified that this is not just my event but there are many out there who are willing to help out and make this event a success. I just tapped the right people and channelized their positive approach into meeting the collective larger goal. And guess what, gradually everything started making sense just at the moment when I was about to lose my faith in being positive. Always remember "उम्मीद पे दुनिया कायम है"

Life Lesson Number Three

Believe in angels, they are around us protecting all the time. When things were shaky and the negative aura was getting stronger, all I did was pray to God everyday. I started visualizing the event happening and not just happening but taking place successfully. I also visualized that things are falling in place peacefully. The power of positive visualization truly helps out to calm and relax your working brain. Also when you pray with your heart and soul into it, and very important when you ask for it, the universe works in that direction to help you out. He sends his angels to help you out.
"२१ वि सदी में भी चमत्कार  होते है"

Life Lesson Number Four

"डर के आगे जित है " This is hundred percent true! Trust me, when things go rough yet your event is successful, nobody can destroy the success of the event. Eventually people will talk because of the reason  stated in Life Lesson Number One. Hence do not let these lose talks affect you. Everyday is not the same day. It is different and similarly every human being is not the same. Some change after a year while some might give you setbacks in the later years. But don't worry too much and don't care too much about them. They are just there may be to scare you off, which you don't have to. Learn to face things as they come. And always remember it is their fear of you winning the race which keeps them aloof and irritated with you all the time.

Mighty ocean is not formed from another mighty river. It is the contribution of small-small tributaries which in return form the river and they in the long run form the ocean. Little drops help in making the mighty ocean.
